Kyron Bourke, born into a theatrical family in Dublin, worked as a wardrobe man in theatre and film before becoming a full time musician after signing to Polygram Records.

 

“Since leaving Polydor and moving north, I’ve released CD’s of my own music. Saved, 1996; NEW EYES, 2002; IF WE WERE KINGS (Kyron and the Strangels), 2009; MY DIRTY ROAD, produced by the late great Mudd Wallace, 2015; and NO CITATION, which was supposed to coincide with the production of my play of the same name to be played at the Lyric Theatre, last May 2020 - cancelled due to Covid restrictions. I am currently working on NO EXPLANATION, a musical film, which will coincide with the release of a CD album of the same name

Kyron, has acted in theatre, television, and radio. He has also written drama for radio and was actor/manager in his own touring company and owner of Teatro Cabaret Restaurant, Belfast. Kyron regularly sings and plays piano at Bert's Jazz Bar, Belfast.

 

Kyron played leading roles in the Lyric Theatre Belfast's 2015 and 2016 Christmas shows and toured Ireland with The Assistant’s Revenge, in the role of Sullivan, a piano playing private detective. Kyron is a painter and has exhibited in galleries throughout Ireland, including the Royal Ulster Academy of Arts
