About

Full Self Singing is an invitation to bring your full self forward. The name came to Salwan whilst he was preparing for a vocal recording with a friend and fellow singer. Nervous as to how his singing might be perceived by his friend, Salwan realised that in order for him to do the recording, he needed to bring his full self - and nothing less - forward.

The desire for us to express ourselves deeply is natural, but we might find that in our attempts to do so, there are things hindering our artistic freedom, despite our best efforts for this not to be the case. Examples of this could be fear, anxiety, overwhelm, self-consciousness, or not being able to feel or connect with our body and emotions. Rather than seeing these challenges as problems, we can look upon them as fruitful areas to invest our attention and interest, for the benefit of our personal wellness and artistic growth.

Being able to face all of ourselves with curiosity and courage is the journey of the heart. Our heart is not interested in winning competitions or being the best. It is simply here as a reservoir of love, incapable of turning away.
